The main mission of YFUSA is to transform every youth football volunteer into a knowledgeable youth football instructor. The YFUSA National Youth Football Coaching Exam will allow volunteers with any level of experience, to be prepared with the knowledge of proper teaching techniques, understanding of coaching ethics and motivation when dealing the youth of today. Having yourself and your league coaches certified YFUSA coaches will give you at backing of a national youth football organization.
Our goal as coaches, league administrators and mentors is to keep the number of kids involved in youth football on a daily basis growing. The youth football community often express that kids are turned away to the game of football for the follo wing reasons.
Studies have determined why kids no longer participate in sports. The main response was that they:

• Coach player favorites
• Not having fun
• Developed other non-sport interest

The purpose of YFUSA National Coaching certification is to verify that the volunteers in your league have the proper techniques and fundamentals for instructing youth players.
Once a coach has passed the test by 80% they are given a certificate and membership card into YFUSA. This certification is backed and supported by YFUSA Partners, including Offense-Defense Football Camps, NFLCA, and others. The certification test consists of 60 True/False questions. The breakdown of the type of questions are as follows:
