We pride ourselves on the fact that we promote and moderate this site as being family friendly towards users of all ages. This is a recreational site that is provided free of charge to everyone and moderated mostly by volunteers, so please be as cooperative as possible.

In order to maintain a sense of order and direction, we have established the guidelines listed below. These guidelines are enforced by our volunteer team of moderators who were all regular users of this site before joining our staff. Our moderators are mature, level-headed and patient, but they are also human, which means they can make mistakes and do have feelings. They deserve respect when they contact you about something that has raised a concern.

Our guidelines and how we enforce them are not open to public discussion. If you question or disagree with our policies please feel free to send an email to any of the staff members or to us to discuss it privately. We may not agree with your concerns but we will respect your right to discuss what you disagree with as long as it does not disrupt this site and is done so with equal respect. By logging onto this forum, you are agreeing to follow these guidelines.

Important: The YFUSA Message Board moderator staff reserves the right to decide when any of these guidelines have been violated. Since we cannot anticipate every possible situation, we have the responsibility and authority to exercise judgment calls on any topics that do not fall within the expressed guidelines and those judgments will be adhered to as strictly as any written guideline.

1) All content, including messages, images, videos and links to other sites, that is posted on this site must be suitable for all ages. If you are not sure about whether a post, picture, link, or topic will be acceptable, chances are it is NOT acceptable. If you really would like to post something but are not sure if it will be allowed, Email the a moderator. Violating this guideline will result in you being given a warning, or your account being suspended or banned.

2) Racial or religious insensitivity is not allowed in any format or area of this site. This includes but is not limited to posting of messages, images, videos or links to content or other sites. Violating this guideline will result in your account being immediately banned.

3) Offensive language is not allowed in any format or area of this site. This includes but is not limited to posting messages, images, videos or links to content or other sites. Violating this guideline will result in you being given a warning or your account being suspended or banned.

4) Personal attacks or insults directed at other members of this site are not allowed. Name calling and commentary about another user's family, intelligence, etc. are all considered personal in nature. Violating this guideline will result in you being given a warning, or your account being suspended or banned.

5) All content should be posted in the appropriate forum. Violating this guideline could result in your post being deleted or moved to another folder.

6) Publicly posting messages attacking, questioning, ridiculing, or insulting the moderators or the site itself is not allowed. Publicly posting private messages sent to or received from the moderator staff is not allowed. If you have a problem with a moderator, you may discuss it privately with YFUSA at joeb@yfusa.org. Violating this guideline will result in your account being suspended or banned.

8) All topics posted must contain titles (subjects) that are descriptive of the content being posted. Tricking users into reading a thread by being purposely vague or using misleading titles is not allowed. Violating this guideline can result in the topic title being changed, or the entire topic deleted

9) Advertisements for other sites, companies, products or services are not allowed in any forum. Violating this guideline can result in the post being deleted, you being warned or your account being suspended or banned.

10) Users are not allowed to consistently harass other users even if it falls within the guidelines. Following a user from thread to thread chastising, or harassing another user with the sole purpose of irritating the user is not allowed. This also includes replying in such manner to the instigating user. If a user is consistently harassing you, we highly recommend you put the user on your Ignore list using the Control Panel. If you have done this and are still being harassed, email the guide or a moderator to let the staff know. Violating this guideline can result in your posts being deleted, you being warned or your account being suspended or banned.

11) Usernames cannot contain offensive words, symbols or phrases. Violating this guideline can result in your username being removed.

13) YFUSA reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who, in YFUSA’s sole discretion, is a detriment to the forum itself.

* The best rule of thumb when engaging others in discussion is to treat them the way you want to be treated...  with respect.  And handle yourself as if you are having a face-to-face conversation.  No one likes an internet bully hiding behind an anonymous forum account.
